Unicef is on the ground, helping the thousands of vulnerable children who urgently need support in the aftermath of the disaster.
We’re providing safe drinking water and hygiene kits for children and families in the city. We’re helping set up counselling to support children who are experiencing trauma and those who have lost loved ones.
We’re working fast to support children in emergency accommodation, ensuring they have mattresses, blankets and towels.

About 12,500 people had lived in the Moria camp, already notorious for its poor living conditions. Last month's inferno reduced it to a mass of smoldering steel and melted tent tarpaulin.
UNICEF is on the ground, supporting local authorities, and offering shelter, core relief items and protection services. Water, hygiene, sanitation and health services are among most critical gaps that need to be addressed without a further delay.
