The Israeli Fund for UNICEF

Our vision
We aim to provide every child with education, health, equality, and an opportunity to be heard, from the belief that Israel will be an active partner with countries around the world to achieve this global mission.
The IFU (formerly the Israel Committee for UNICEF) is the Israel arm of the largest and most important international organization for children, which is part of the UN and draws its authority from the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).
UNICEF Israel works to strengthen the voice of children in Israel, advance their rights, and raise awareness to issues impacting children’s lives and welfare.
We work through promoting legislation, building partnerships to implement the CRC, education and advocacy, volunteer groups, and fundraising. We also work to make the State of Israel a partner in UNICEF’s global work to save children from poverty, hunger, diseases, war and emergencies.
UNICEF is proud of its continuing partnership with the State of Israel for children in Israel and around the world.
There are many ways you can be a part of UNICEF’s work to save children’s lives. As it says in the Talmud, “Whoever saves a life is considered to have saved an entire world.”
UNICEF Israel's leadership is committed to making Israel an active player in UNICEF's work for children around the world.
On the Road to Dadaab- the personal story of Chris, part of the UNICEF team work in the Horn of Africa:
"When Abdile and his children arrived at the Hagadera reception centre, Aden was near death. Lacking the strength even to swallow..."

How can I save a child?
50 NIS will save a malnourished child by providing 20 days of Plumpynut food supplements rich with protein and vitamins
10 NIS will provide 50 water purification tablets that can give up to 250 liters of drinking water
